Overview

Video games could not exist without math which is why there are so many games that base their entire premise around numbers. While this game may not be super number-heavy, math is involved and you'll figure that out soon enough. You need to think about all the spaces, and your available blocks and plan so that you can keep playing. The answer won't always be clear and you need to determine what will be the best course of action at the moment and for the future. It all comes down to problem-solving and thinking carefully about the data at hand.

Gameplay and Experience

10x10 is a 2D puzzle game about slotting different arrangements of blocks into a 10 by 10 grid using the mouse. To move blocks into place, select them from the bottom of the screen, click and hold the Left Mouse Button, and then drag them onto the grid. If they fit, they'll slot right into the space. The goal is to get the highest score possible by completing columns and rows of 10 blocks. When a column or row is filled, the blocks in it will vanish and fill up more space. If the blocks were part of the arrangement, the ones not in the column or row would be left behind. You get a selection of three block arrangements underneath the grid that will be randomized. You won't get any new blocks until the ones you have are placed onto the grid. You can touch the edges of the grid without any problems, but if you reach a point where you can't fit any of your current blocks in… that's game over. You'll get the chance to go back three moves if you wish or you can choose to start over from the beginning.
