Before You Play Bois d'Arc: Bow Shooting

Bois D'Arc is a 2D tower defense about controlling an archer with just the mouse. To aim the bow, move your cursor and click the Left Mouse Button to select a spot. Hold the button to charge your shot and then let go to fire. The archer is perched on a castle tower to the left side of the screen as enemies approach from the right. The goal of each level is to survive and wipe out all of the enemy waves, earning stars for keeping your castle in good condition. The enemies will approach periodically from the right side of the screen and advance towards the castle. They will differ in terms of strength and speed with more and more enemies appearing as you defeat the waves. Enemies are focused entirely on the castle and once they get in range, they will start relentlessly attacking it. The castle health is represented in the top left corner of the screen and you'll lose the level if it drops to zero. To defeat enemies, you need to hit them with arrows and other offensive abilities until they fall. In terms of attacking, you have your bow and arrow. There's a cooldown in between shots but your power allows you to shoot to the other side of the screen if need be. If you hit an enemy, they'll take damage and will take additional damage from headshots. Between levels, you can purchase upgrades using the stars you've earned from previous levels. The upgrades improve the damage of your arrows, their shooting speed, the castle's defenses, and special attacks that differ between archers.
