Before You Play Island Puzzle
Island Puzzle is a 2D matching puzzle game taking place on a lush island that you can play with just the mouse. Use the cursor to navigate the UI and the Left Mouse Button to interact with the different chips. To make matches, you need to click and drag a pattern. The goal of each level is to meet the matching requirements while aiming for additional matches for greater rewards. From the main menu, you can start playing by pressing the button in the lower right corner. The level prompt will show you the required chips you need to match and give you the option to select boosters if you have any available. After this, you'll be shown the puzzle board where a group of randomized chips will fall in. To make a match, simply link three or more of the same chips together. As long as the chips are right beside, under, over, or diagonally from each other, you can make a long chain of matches. You only have a limited amount of moves to meet the level requirements and if you go over, you'll need to start over. The star dial to the right indicates buildup for boosters in the level. The longer your chain of matches, the more powerful the booster will be. They can take on multiple forms: Line bombs can clear out rows or columns of chips, square bombs can clear large sections, and star bombs can transform sections of chips into the same type that you match to it. As you complete levels, you'll earn coins based on your matches and efficiency. Back at the home screen, you can examine the checklist in the corner to complete tasks, get a bit of story, and decorate the open island space.
